Current Resume
Hi, I’m a Storyboard Artist, Animator, and Illustrator from Charleston, SC. I’m trying to help make our world a better place through the use of story.
As the line between reality and fantasy is increasingly becoming blurred, I want to be in a position to share the best of what I’ve been given, so that I can help other people find their paths, overcome obstacles, and find peace. Darkness is a signpost pointing to the light. I find beauty in the struggle of life. I honor the journey, and I see transformation as our central purpose on Earth.
Working as a consultant who led a team of developers, I understand how projects need to function, and how businesses run. Collaborating with people while keeping things light, especially when the pressure is on, is something I always strive for. I encourage criticism because it allows me to grow, and I’m also comfortable giving critique when needed. I genuinely enjoy giving presentations, and I’ve entertained many a high-rise corporate group with unexpected slides. One thing I don’t do well is over-sell. If I believe in something and know the details, I’m glad to speak about it, but if I don’t know, I’ll be the first to admit it and find someone who does.
Growing up with parents who were self employed artists, I’ve been drawing and painting since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My BFA in Illustration at SCAD focused on foundational classes in live figure drawing, sketching, composition, painting, sculpture, art history, and lithography, with a major in Illustration.
Some of my artistic influences are:
The genres I gravitate towards are:
Illumination
Children’s Content

SCAD had a profound impact on my personal direction as an artist, and as a person. The 16 credits in Art History, the comprehensive array of studio intensive skill building workshops, combined with truly inspiring teaching, pushed me to my absolute best as a designer and as a creative thinker. I placed in the top 3 at the SCAD senior show with my multimedia illustration "Waste".
Ed Barbier shaped the way I view design, a fantastic sculptor, Louisiana native, and just a profoundly inspiring teacher.
Dick Krepel brought me into a new realm of understanding the usage of multimedia for illustration.
Alexi Natchev introduced me to fine art of conveying a story through illustrations.
Kirt Witte was instrumental in imparting Photoshop techniques that I still use today.
